Edition 21 “College Football is Alive and Well”

There is a great slate of games lined up in College Football this weekend.  Really tough to choose which game should be the most intriguing and exciting one.  Matchups include USC vs Cal in a rough and tough Pac 10 battle where both teams are looking to really prove themselves after recent embarassing performances.  LSU looks to exact revenge against a Georgia team that appears to be getting it together after a Week 1 lost.  Michigan and Michigan State duel it out in the battle of Michigan.

But the real game of the weekend… the one that in my eyes should be the most exciting is the matchup between the storied programs out of Norman and Miami.  Yes sir, the Sooners head into Miami to take on the U.

Though, both teams each already have a loss, they are both still in contention to win their respective conferences and gain a BCS Bowl Bid.  The intriguing factor of this game is what Miami team will show up.  The one that dominated national attention for the first couple of weeks or the one that got run over by the Hokies last weekend?

Jacory Harris should be ready to go and the U should take down the vaunted Sooners.  Sorry Coach Stoops.  Oklahoma still has a slim shot to win the Big 12, but they will not be winners on this day.  I do admit that Oklahoma has an outstanding defense that has not given up more than 14 points in a game this season, but  Oklahoma will be a much better team when their star quarterback Sam Bradford returns.  If Bradford were playing, I would definitely give the edge to the Sooners, but this is not the case.  Jacory Harris and the U will show the flash and speed that kills in a big win over the Oklahoma Sooners.  Chalk it up.  The Sooners will have a 500 record of 2 and 2.  Very shocking, yet very true.

Enjoy all the great games tomorrow though and do not forget about watching the MLB races come down to the wire as the Dodger’s look to clinch the NL West and the Tigers and Twins fight it out for an AL Central Title.

Stay tuned for Edition 22.
